It offers innovative computer based physiological data collection and analysis systems in the areas of Sleep, Neurology and Cardiology. Compumedics, is Australia 's leading exporter of medical technology and a world pioneer in manufacture of physiological data collection and analysis systems.

Compumedics specialises in the development, manufacture and marketing of computer-based medical monitoring and diagnostic equipment. All products are developed and manufactured at its Melbourne headquarters in Victoria, Australia. They also have field offices in the USA, Singapore and Europe.

Compumedics were the first to install computer-based sleep disorder diagnostic centres in Australasia, and now hold over 70 percent of market share. The company has won numerous export awards and recently secured official American approval and US contracts for new exports.

Compumedics won (against 22 competitors), the competitive US Government contract for the supply of equipment for the world's largest sleep study (6000 patients). Sleep apnea is one of the more common sleep disorders. It is potentially lethal because it can cause breathing to stop hundreds of times a night.

Sleep technology and telemedicine are rapidly growing markets and Compumedics is well positioned to increase exports. Export sales have steadily increased to 80 percent of turnover. Markets include UK, EU and Russia.
